Edgewarth, Academy of the Arcane

Being intrigued by watching actual play such as Dimension 20 and Critical Role, I found myself wanting to run a game of D&D. The “Kids on Brooms” and “Candela Obscura” ruleset best fit the narrative heavy, rules lite format I intended to run for my game. I crafted a magical world focusing around a town known as Waterford Basin. In this world my players could visit any shop or location and interact with any townsfolk, students, faculty at the magic school they are attending. I am the Game Master. I voice every non-player character and get to serve the players by creating anything they may encounter as they try to learn magic and uncover the mystery of a missing student and rumors of a dark corruption. Who will they trust? Who can they trust?

Character sheets, class schedules, portraits and wands were created to help with player immersion as well as building out classes, sorting houses, a tavern and multiple shops. I also designed a town map with points of interest in a key, since the game is mostly played through imagination, “theater of the mind”. This is truly one of my favorite games and pastimes with my friends.
